My Story

I often share my story on the power of vision and how it helped me overcome the many setbacks and hurdles that take place personally, and professionally when you step out of your comfort zone to reach the next level. Through my story of successes and mishaps, defining moments full of wins, obstacles, and detours orchestrated by God, I empower others to live purposefully and fulfill their divine destiny.

I've always been a coach and encourager. Naturally. If you had asked me 20 years ago, if I ever envisioned my life the way it is now, my answer would have been No Way. Half of the experiences I have lived out so far, I never would have imagined having done. But there were great people in my life who inspired me to greatness.

As a young adult in college, I remember experiencing a long season of feeling like something was missing and void in my life and could never pinpoint what it was. I had a great social life, I was an athlete, I was dating, and involved in many organizations but still...something was missing.

It wasn't until I was accepted into a Leadership program as an undergrad and wrote the vision for my life in 2004 that I realized I was lacking a deep sense of purpose. I paused, considered, and listed five things I wanted to accomplish within the next 5-10 years. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. From the moment I wrote and spoke my vision, the following events were nothing more than divine steps to destiny. I learned from that moment over time the importance of the power of vision and how essential it is to your success. I share much more about this in my book, Destined To Reign.

That void that was missing in my life.... was vision.

My lack of vision was causing me to perish and live life on my terms. I was edging God out of my plans. In missing Him, I was also missing the purpose and destiny He had for my life. I lacked the spiritual compass and vitality I needed to truly live. After turning my life around, my vision was restored, and my life shifted in major ways, but not without major challenges. I began growing in my faith once again and no longer felt like I was out of sync. As I continued to seek God, my spiritual gifts began to quickly evolve and mature and I was equipped to serve in ministry.

Around this same time, a professor recognized my potential and gift in writing and speaking and for the very first time, I was recommended for advanced gifted courses in English and Writing. I was shocked that this average girl, once student-athlete, once lost without purpose.... was being recommended for gifted at the same university that I was accepted into on a provisional basis.

My life shifted in such a way that it allowed others to see the potential that was once hindered by the fog of lack of clarity for one's true identity and purpose. They were able to see the greatness within.

After graduating college, I was offered a position to serve military children and youth which led to an advancement and position overseas. During this time, I continued to serve in my local church and was blessed with the opportunity to minister to hundreds of global women at the Refresh. Renew. Revive. International Women's Conference in Stuttgart, Germany in 2012. Since this moment, God has opened many more doors for me to minister to others.

In 2015, I joined the Maxwell Leadership Team, where I currently inspire and equip others to reach their full potential.

None of this would have happened if my vision didn't change. None of this would happened if I had laid my visions and dreams aside. None of this would have happened if I had chosen to remain stuck in the same mindset that I was in prior. The momentum of the events that occurred within that specific season of my life, happened because I allowed my vision to propel me forward.

Vision is the source and hope of life. It's what generates hope in the midst of despair and provides endurance in tribulation. It inspires the depressed and motivates the discouraged. It's the foundation of courage and fuel of persistence. Your future is not ahead of you—it lies within. Your vision determines your destiny.

Like a seed, potential can grow in ways you could never imagine. All it takes is one moment for your life to change. And sometimes what seems like chaos is the breaking apart of an old pattern and the birth of something new. God has already prepared the way. He's just preparing you. Never underestimate the power of your seed. The faith of a mustard seed can move mountains. Just as a tiny acorn has the potential to grow into a great oak tree, I believe that every human being is a unique individual with the potential to accomplish great things. Coaching is designed to assist you in discovering your potential, and supporting you as you develop the skills, navigate the paths, and build the confidence and motivation that will enable you to excel.

Somewhere in the midst of me minding my own business, God called me. And He hasn't stopped. I love what he's called me to do and I've seen his grace and power work in my life in ways only God can. I specialize in renewing the mind to bring life transformation and operate in the motivational gift of exhortation to carry messages that are spirit-filled with truth, revelation, wisdom, and inspiration.

For me, the key to building and balancing anything in my life is to put God first and keep him at the center of my life.

So outside of this bio, I love God, People, and Life. I'm a singer-songwriter and author. I enjoy marriage and motherhood, meaningful moments and time spent with family and friends, serving within my church and community, writing, good music, a flavorful cup of coffee or tea, cooking and learning new recipes, food & culture, reading, dancing, traveling, and enjoying everyday life. As a mother, my daughters motivate and inspire me to raise the lid on my leadership daily. Leadership never stops in parenting. We can all grow in this place and I'm grateful to be in a position to equip myself and other individuals and families to become the highest version of themselves so the next generation has everything they need to reach their fullest potential.

I preach, teach, pray, inspire, encourage, coach, facilitate workshops (including the Propel Women Series), and host the weekly Woman Arise Podcast TV to help women arise in their purpose, passions, and potential. I love to worship and enjoy a good laugh. I am a graduate student pursuing my Master's Degree as I work alongside the Family Engagement Team in the Savannah Chatham County Public School System and serve on the Spiritual Life and Discipleship Team at Live Oak Church in Hinesville, Ga.
